The Kula Difference
Kula Shave Ice was started with the dream of creating a healthier and more sustainable treat for the community, keiki and visitors to enjoy!
Most other shave ice syrup is highly processed with corn syrup, artificial flavors, dyes and preservatives, and no actual fruit. But we believe our community deserves better!
We hand craft all our flavors with organically-grown/locally-sourced fruit, organic cane sugar, ultra-filtered water, and love. We freeze hundreds of water buckets per week with pure water so we can control the quality of the ice. We also make most of our toppings! This requires much higher costs and many more hours of labor, but we feel it's worth it.
We do our best to reduce waste, by using glass/metal/paper instead of plastic wherever we can, and serve our treats in only compostable products.
We're stoked to join our Friends, the Goldens, creators of Kula Shave Ice, in this true labor of love and we thank you for your support in our mission to share a version of this classic Hawaiian treat that is healthier for you and the ‘āina.
